What's New in the Garden

In late summer, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Longview Farm House. The house will undergo a year-long renovation, and, when finished, will be a gathering spot for folks to hold small weddings, parties and get-togethers. Mayor Jon Dalton gave garden club members a commendation for our 6 years of work in the gardens, totaling over 3,000 hours.

On September 11th, MRGC held "My Good Deed" at Longview Farm Park. We asked for volunteers to do "One Good Deed" and help us accomplish a few projects in the park. We laid a mulched path, trimmed trees, pulled invasive weeds, and had a beautiful day to do it in. Many thanks to our volunteers!

About Our Club

The Mason Ridge Garden Club was founded in 1999 by Claire Chosid as a way to share her love of gardening while spending time with friends. Initially, the club was composed of members of Mason Ridge's ground beautification committee. We all enjoy working outside, sharing our knowledge of plants, and having a general good time together. We have seventeen members with varying degrees of expertise. Some members have been gardening for a short while, some have been digging in the dirt for a few years, and we have three Master Gardeners. We tour each others gardens, we have craft projects, go on garden-related field trips and are working on our biggest project to date-renovating the gardens at Longview Farm, a park in Town & Country, Missouri.

Membership

We are always looking for interested new members. If you love gardening and want to share your interest with others, contact our President, Claire Chosid, at info@mrgardenclub.com
